Case studies

What the work actually looks like

Two engagements written out in full: what the business looked like at the start, the decision that mattered, every phase of the work in order, and where it stands now. Written for owners considering something similar, not as a brochure.

The common thread

Two different industries, the same discipline.

A steel trader moving into power generation and a hospital opening from an empty plot have almost nothing in common operationally. Financially they are the same problem: a large, irreversible commitment of capital, made once, on assumptions that have to hold for years.

In both engagements the work that mattered happened before anything was built. Establishing what could genuinely be funded. Testing the assumptions against a bad year rather than a good one. Sequencing approvals so that one missing prerequisite did not reset a chain of them.

Neither client came to us for a report. They came because a decision had to be made and the information to make it properly did not exist yet.

About these case studies

These are published with the consent of the clients concerned. They describe the work carried out and the decisions involved. Every business is different, and nothing here should be read as a prediction of what a similar project would achieve for you. Orina is a business research, education and consulting firm and does not provide investment advice, legal opinion or statutory certification.
